Im from south florida and there was a place down there called "U Pull it" and they had a ton of cars and the customer would pay a buck to go out on the lot and look for parts off of whatever they had out there and then you could bring your own tools and pull it off yourself. Then last weekend I went and saw a buddy in Virginia Bch and he was telling me about a place called U Wrench It. I was wondering if theres such a place in NC that has a self service type where you could save some good money on old parts by pulling it yourself. 8/21/2005 3:02:24 PM |

dude there's a shit-ton of places around NC. most junkyards will let you pull it yourself. sometimes if its hard to get at they'll help you pull it.

I work at R Stroud's Auto parts in Youngsville. We do let people on the yard to pull their own parts usually if they bring their own tools. Unfortunately we are pretty expensive though, and about 45 minutes north up capital.
^^^ I think we have one or two '83 or '84 cadillacs with grills.
^"newer" as in '05? We have a stock '97.

try capitol truck salvage off greshams lake rd., strouds is good, and nines in granville county is too. most junkyards deal with all the others, so if they don't have the part you need they can usually get it for you. I used to work at capitol, rags will help you out 878-8700. 8/22/2005 1:58:49 PM |

That's what I was going to suggest. A lot of the good stuff out there is picked through, but you can go through the yard and find whatever your want. Plus they're willing to cut some good deals.8/22/2005 6:07:14 PM |

Ok so Im assuming there are no junk yards where the standard policy is the customer pulls it themselves? I want a few various small interior parts for my integra and everyone i call is trying to rape me. 8/22/2005 10:13:36 PM |
