I am needing the aide of someone who will weld some steel rod to my cut fenders on my YJ. i don't have the money to purchase a welder of my own but would like to go ahead and get this done so I can get some other aesthetic crap done. even though its a beater i still want to have some pride when driving the piece to the trails. well, if anyone is willing to do the work, preferable free, cheap, or a few beers in price, i would appreciate it. should only take a few minutes or maybe two seperate trips, bc i need it tacked then I am gonna hammer the metal around it then burn in the welds. anyone willing let me know. thanks. 8/22/2005 10:17:06 PM |

you pay to have my argon/co2 tank refilled (~20-25 bucks) and i'll do it. assuming all i'll just be doing to welding and you doing the fitting. 8/23/2005 10:30:31 AM |

dunno if that's what it's called. 75/25 blend is all i know. some people use other combinations. i've tried 100% argon, but like the blend better for the kind of stuff i do. 8/23/2005 11:15:04 AM |

Yeah...that's what I'm talking about. Unamix is National Welders' trade name for it. 75% argon, 25% CO2. 8/23/2005 11:25:54 AM |

screw NW. they're a rip off, and complete dicks to you unless you've got a big account with them. i go to a place off of ebenezer church. cheap prices and excellent customer service even for people like me that only refill gasses every few months. i can get shielding, oxy, and acet for ~60-70 bucks. this is for large tanks too. 8/23/2005 12:11:47 PM |

^^^yeah, that's about equal to the place i go (i can't even think of the exact name off hand, welder's supply maybe?). do you have to buy into northern's tanks or will they accept ones from national, etc.? ^^cool... yeah i know him from high school days too, i hung out with a few people from athens alot. i believe it was chris turner that i met him through back in the day... 8/23/2005 1:57:35 PM |
