LoneSnark
From his thousand mile east coast seawall and belief in infinite oil, to his recent postings about "private rights" in China, I officially declare LoneSnark as the Soap Box Minister of Information.
None of you, not even Salisburyboy, has provided such ridiculous entertainment with such serious prose. 8/23/2005 10:29:21 AM |

IIRC, he said "build a wall at places of importance." Like NYC, miami, etc... AKA, leave unimportant and uninhabited areas alone. 8/23/2005 10:56:34 AM |

exactly.
which is why a seawall would have to be an all-or-nothing type deal. 8/23/2005 2:34:22 PM |

While LoneSnark may pull some gems out of his ass, he in no way shape or form approaches the true stupidity of aaronburro. Which is why aaronburrow won't even qualify for information minister.

Wow, my own thread. This is a first.
Of course, if I had known my idea of building sea-walls where appropriate was so radical, I would have pointed out that most urban areas already have them. I'm sure reality would have swayed you more than your imagination obviously has, as in the beginning you thought a seawall was used to contain a flooding river, but I digress.
This ones in Cuba: http://blackcat.ca/lifeline/KB/images/CUBA1,Day_6-Seawall-1-20041030.jpg
This one is in Europe, and is very old: http://www.murrayc.com/gallery_albums2/murrayc_2002_munichtofrance_stmalo/seawall.sized.jpg
You can even search google for pictures of more! http://images.google.com/images?q=seawall&hl=en&lr=&sa=N&tab=wi
Of course, how can anyone respond to the accusation that they said there is "infinite oil" on Earth? Obviously this "LoneSnark" you speak of is batshit insane to believe there is "infinite" anything in the Universe, much less something as scarce as carbon.
Unless, and I only say this in jest, perhaps someone proclaiming "the oil tank is not sufficiently empty to abandon the vehicle" does not mean to imply that said "oil tank is of infinite size and capacity."
