I know this is a blog from a Windows user, but is there any particular reason there are 6 steps to a 5-step process?
8/23/2005 3:23:29 PM
I did it out of pure boredom, and actually halfway like it
8/23/2005 4:03:30 PM
post some screenshotshow close is it to actual OSX functionality?
8/23/2005 4:04:35 PM

apparently someone forgot there is only one 4 when counting to 5
8/23/2005 4:23:58 PM
I have both Mac and PC, and I think I still like the Windows interface better. Maybe it's just b/c I'm so used to it.

8/23/2005 4:52:01 PM
in computer labs, macs are much better because they actually keep your settings...!!
8/23/2005 4:52:58 PM
^ wtf. Back when I was on campus Macs in labs were really badly configured.
8/23/2005 4:55:46 PM
not now...at least not in the labs that I go to...

is this easy to revert from say if i was just bored and wnted to try it? does this use a lot of system resources?
8/24/2005 1:48:50 AM
it uses about 60 MB of RAM but it's not noticeable on my desktop
8/24/2005 2:17:14 AM
that spotlight app is really annoying because it's not coded properly. i wouldn't recommend installing it.
8/24/2005 3:53:25 AM
correction: the tray part of the spotlight program works fine.it's when you open the external window to see all results that it croaks.nice use of GDS though
8/24/2005 9:12:05 AM
So far esgargs the only program I found worth while is the FlyaKiteOX 2.0.Did a whole lot of changes to the Windows look and feel, while not hogging TOO much of my resources. The widget thing (Konfabulator) and Entbloess 2 were fairly worthless. Spotlight has been writen to be worthless by many people, so I didn't even bother._________
8/24/2005 11:05:34 AM
I didn't like it, but then I really don't care for OSX. All the sounds were annoying. I kept Konfabulator though since I was meaning to install that beforehand anyways.
8/24/2005 12:43:10 PM
Konfabulator plain rocks, manDid you try various widgets?
8/24/2005 12:48:04 PM
broken link! I wanna try it.
8/24/2005 1:50:19 PM
^^ yeah. It's nice to have something that is skinned well in windows. I'm running mini iTunes remote and The Weather. Let me know if you have some suggestions for other good ones.
8/24/2005 2:22:34 PM
The Picture Frame is kinda cool.I also like the "What to Do" widget...it syncs well with icalendar or Outlook. The "Simposons Quoter" is cool."Quagmire" is just awesomeThe Hula girl looks cool dancing when you're listening to music.
8/24/2005 2:46:25 PM
i use the weather widget, the pim widget, and sometimes the radar and triangle traffic camera widgets
8/24/2005 2:52:51 PM
i don't really keep this longhorn background but i thought it'd be ironic
