I am fixing an older HP laptop and I called to order the system restore disks for it, but they no longer make it, but I have a new desktop HP computer and he said the system restore disks for that will also work on the older laptop... Is this accurate info?
Thanks... 8/25/2005 4:17:57 PM |

not likely, the new restore disk likely has a different OS and different drivers than the origional 8/25/2005 4:32:32 PM |

it is slower than hell and freezes when I click anything, there is no retrieving any files, and none of them are important anyway 8/25/2005 6:14:16 PM |

Has anyone here actually had window's system restore work? Everytime I've tried it I always get a "windows couldn't restore to a previous point" type message. 8/26/2005 1:05:01 PM |

if you dont need any files off of the older HP laptop, you want to reinstall anyhow, why do you care if this new HP restore disk works or not? Its not like you can screw it up, so just try it already. 8/26/2005 1:12:07 PM |
