I want to make a pie chart containing category & cost. Why isn't it as easy as it should be & how do i do it.

insert->chart select pie series tab name box, click the button to the right of the box click and drag to select your categories click the X to close the box values box, click the botton to the right of the box click and drag to select your values click the X to close the box category labels box, click the button to the right of the box click and drag to select your categories click the X to close the box
i don't think excel can simply add all the categories together that are the same. i think you have to do that before hand and then make a pie chart off that data if you are trying to do what i think you are trying to do. 8/28/2005 9:25:29 AM |
