i only watched a few minutes here and there so i cant comment on the show but the acting sucked in the few mins i saw. i mean i know its tv but you still should be able to deilver dialogue halfway decent

i was definitely disappointed but i definitely agree that it should hold us over till 24 comes back on. It was slow, but i'm blaming that one the fact that it was introducing the characters to us. Maybe next week i will be more impressed.

Shouldnt his brother (Lincoln) be completely separated from the rest of the inmates if hes on death row? I thought they just let you rot until your execution comes up, but theyve got him painting walls and shit. You definitely have to suspend belief when watching this...but hey, thats what weve been doing for 4 years watching 24 .

yeah i thought it was a little disappointing. Some things i noticed, i didn't realize they had social times in jail where you could just go hang out in your buddy's cell like it was dorm a room. and also in a lot of the cells they had stereos and other entertainment stuff. Definitly not how a high security prison is at all.

I can only assume you get this knowledge from the vast amount of time you have spent in a maximum security prison. I'm sure this BS your spouting out has nothing to do with other prison movies, i.e. The Hurricane, The Shawshank Redemption, and maybe even a little of American History X thrown in there too.

Maybe different prisons have different rules and regulations, and maybe some prisons let inmates have radios. And about the "visiting other cells" thing, I'm pretty sure he snuck into the other guy's cell, and it's not like a normal allowed thing. I do know that I heard a story about just last week a man sneaking into a cell with 8 women: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/08/29/AR2005082900249.html. So it's not improbable that this guy could sneak into another imate's cell.

I'll admit, I always thought people on death row were confined, but that's always from images I had from other movies. Maybe that's not always the case.

one little thing that i thought was stupid. at one point they were talking about catholic bishops etc. and then within the same minute the mom said something along the lines of "your father does exist..it wasnt an immaculate conception". they couldnt take two seconds required to learn that the immaculate conception is NOT about the Christian belief that it was a virgin birth but about the fact that Jesus did not have original sin.
i believe the term they were looking for was virgin birth

Most people associate immacualte conception with virgin birth though....

As for the seperation of death row inmates, he is seperated by his cell & outdoor area. They can't restrict his right to go to church or work. That is the only places he is not segregated. He can choose not to work or go to church though, in which case he would be totally confined.

there were a few parts where the acting sucked, but for the most part it wasn't bad. (the script had its own probs)

actually i was impressed with the stars they landed on the cast... many of them having pretty big roles in some pretty big movies...namely robin tunney, stacy keach, and amaury nolasco.

I'm going to continue watching the show.

Story: 8/10...Suspenseful, a lot of details.
Acting: 5/10...The main two guys are meh. Most of the prison guys, the kid, and the chics are doing a good job tho.
Script: 6/10...Seen better, seen worse.
Cinematography: 6/10...Seen better, seen worse.

Like I said, it will hold me until 24 returns.
