I'm quite biased, but anyone else excited about the new student bar/lounge opening up on Hillsborough St. in about a week?

i would like to know how you scored an alcohol permit on hillsborough st. From what I heard, which may be totally wrong, the city of raleigh was no longer issuing permits for new bars/lounges on hillsborough in an attempt to keep the college man down.

anyway, i'm pretty damn excited about this place. i heard about it last semester, when marakesh cafe was opening, b/c other people were talking about the hookah bar competition. i didn't realize it was gonna have all the other stuff, too. gg on the whole damn idea.

I just read the article that noted the guy's last name was Patel...then i saw a guy w/ a screen name w/ Patel in it...who claims to be really biased about being excited about the place. I wasn't trying to be stereotypical. And see...its his cousin so i made a good guess.

I think it will be a really cool place and can't wait to check it out.

assuming your hookah bar offers more than 2 flavors, and if your establishment opens in accordance with the hours on the door, and not whenever the hell they feel like it, you'll have Markaresh beat by a long shot.

Permit approved today and plans to open Thursday or Friday of this week (in time for the Hillsborough Hike)

most of the staff has years of experience and the fall hike is usually significantly slower than the spring hike
