If you really want it to become better and have people post schedules, why not make it only viewable if a user meets two conditions:

1. Be a member of TWW
2. Have at least one semester that they added in the school tool.

You could create a sample page showing other people what they were missing out on and they would be more inclined to add their schedule.

School tool is a great feature of this site. And if you don't like the banners, there is nothing stopping you from turning of your computer and studying.
