looking for something smallish with good torque and speed and preferably low power consumption

any reccomendations?

i need two of them to power two wheels on a machine that weighs roughly 5-10lbs.

would like to have a speed of 10-20mph on most terrains, assuming good traction rubber tires

Just about any RC motor will do that. Now when you begin the trade off between power consumption and power is where the engineering comes in to play.

right now i'm just thinking two simple servo motors

what does all that brushless, brushed, etc. shit equal in real-world terms?
