Ever since I installed my new video card, my video playback has been very bright, almost like the contrast levels/brightness is turned way up. My monitor viewing is fine, its only when I play videos. What could be the problem?

did you set the brightness or gamma for the video up?

if not... did you consider setting it down?

If your card is made by nvidia, then the problem is most likely the driver version you're using.

One or two releases ago this was a noted issue. Latest driver release fixed the problem for me.
