I am looking for the installation files to download the driver for my scanner - a Memorex 6142u. I have my disk, but for some reason my computer is not even seeing it's there when I put it in the cd drive. (that's probably a seperate problem...)

I have gone to Memorex's website and tried looking at a few other places, but can't find a file to download that is "good" - some of them are files that my computer doesn't even know how to open (asks me "open with..")

Please help

when i downloaded it and unzipped it the only file it came with ended with .exe and thats a file windows knows how to open
