Specifically in 2nd gear around 2500-3500 rpms. Saturn SC2 1997. I usually run 87 in the car, though, when I ran 93 in it a few months ago, it seemed to improve the misfiring...a little, but now much. I'm not exactly sure what info I need to include with this, so just ask away.

Thanks.

changed plugs and wires yet?

Just like any GM, Saturns seem to like getting new wires every 60k miles or so. That's just my observation.

I changed the plugs about 1000 miles ago. It's probably been a while since I changed the wires, but definitely not 60K. When I look at the wires, I can see some points where there may have been arcing between the wires, but I'm not 100% sure.

^ How could I tell the difference? The engine feels like it's stumbling as I accelerate.

Do you hear a rattle or a noise like a clatter?

^ Yes, sometimes, sometimes, it just stumbles.

that happens on mine too

a clatter, or misfiring and hesitation

the clatter occurs only at low throttle positions and low engine speeds... at WOT I never hear clattering but it misses a bit and hesitates off the line

what do I fix kthx
