I'll agree that the kid pretending to be gay/cross-dressing got a few laughs out of me, but I really don't see how this show is any different from all the other comedy shows out there that center around how dysfunctional a family can be. The premise just seems too overdone, and the show thus comes off as too generic and run-of-the-mill.

And in closing, the daughter is bangible.

in ep 2 it looks like the daughter blew some black kid and he didnt do anything in return so now she is crying. thats not really your average family sitcom situation.

this show is HORRIBLE!!!


its so typical and lame. and, it ruined arrested development's chance of ever being on sunday nights again.

it makes all the same jokes as A.D. but they are so poorly executed its painful.

e.g. questionable gay character
in war at home, the son, and you know when the dad is going to make some crack about it like five minutes before he does it,and you know exactly what he's going to say
in A.D. tobias funke, a brilliant character.

the son's ugly girf.
in war at home, as soon as you see her at the door, you know every joke coming her way. its so predictable. and she is so obviously fuglified to the max.
in A.D. ann, they always subtley call her bland instead of ann, and shes not horribly unattractive, just bland. its as ann as the nose on plain's face.

and the dad on war at home is such a jerk, such a stereotype. but michael bluth, you love him at first, then realize he's just as conniving as the rest of the bluths, but you still love him bc its friggin jason bateman.

and that is why war at home sucks.
