I do agree with that, if that was the case. However (at risk of sounding like a tree-hugging hippie, which I am ok with) this whole natural disaster would have been much less of a disaster had the marshlands (mother nature's natural barrier against flooding) not been perpetually destroyed by people. These marshes act as a sponge and could have prevented much of the flooding had they not been destroyed bit by bit by all of the oil pipelines and such. So, the only completely "natural" element to this whole tragedy was the hurricane itself. The flooding and such that occured afterwards was due to insufficient marshlands and levees. Those are all human failures, not natural wonders.
