No, the M5 looks nothing like that and it has been out in the open for atleast a year. I'm curious as to what powerplant is under the hood. The M5 went from a V8 to a V10, will the M3 see the same increase in cylinders? 9/18/2005 11:14:25 PM |

M3 will have a coupe and a sedan. Something about an M4 floating around also. Not to clear on that one. If I'm not mistaking the coupe will have 2 versions, a m3/m4 and the sedan will be the m3. 9/19/2005 8:31:00 AM |

I heard that the M3 will be the coupe and the M4 will be the sedan. Might be the other way around, but it was something like that. 9/19/2005 8:52:30 AM |

Quote : | "The initial idea considered was a 4 door M3 saloon and a 2 door M4 coupe. But recently BMW has changed their minds and keep the legendary M3 coupe alive. Internal pressure from the BMW board was too great to kill it off. Therefore, the M3 coupe, M3 saloon and an M3 cabriolet in addition to an M4 2 door coupe/cabriolet will be developed. Did you get all that? "germancarfans.com" " |
I think this cleared it up. lol9/19/2005 9:46:27 AM |

surely they could have figured out a more elegant solution than the 'hood bulge'. that looks retarded 9/19/2005 1:01:37 PM |

the sketch at the bottom is hot. i wouldnt be to worried about the hood buldge, bmw wouldnt leave that there. not to hot about the increase in size the car looks kinda big. 9/19/2005 1:39:57 PM |

What's the difference between an M3 and an M4 coupe? 9/19/2005 2:23:43 PM |

^^^They won't hide the exhaust. Those are just spy photos. They don't have the side grill either. The production car will have the full exhaust and grills.

I think the M4 will be a hard top vert, that folds into the trunk. Atleast thats what I've read. The hood buldge won't be that big. The e46 (current) m3's have a hood buldge also. If you look from the side and from the front you can tell an m3 from a regular 3 series. Its distinct. But as far as the new one goes I don't know if they will have the buldge or not.9/20/2005 8:30:59 AM |
