this one should be a lot harder. you have to use both toggle bars to drive, and no more "tiger vision" and caddy help on putts...they're going to the grid system. Also, on pressure shots, the whole screen shakes.

They could at least make it somewhat harder. Tour Mode isnt that hard either. Like not being able to drive all the greens on par 4, and hitting it 400 yards.

i like the "call the shot" option. Gameplay definitely seems a bit slower. When you first start with your player and he sucks..he really sucks. I've shanked a good number of balls. It's a bit more realistic, like you can't hit a ball perfectly with a driver in the fairway or the rough anymore.

im starting to get a hang of the putting, just a bit tough to judge how far to pull back on like a 65% putt..

i like how the club prices are a little more realistic...a really good driver now is about $1,500...i dunno if thats high in real life or if its realistic...but i'm pretty DAMN sure its more realistic than the $100,000 clubs from the previous games

Game sounds better than last years and FYI a good driver will cost you no more than $500. A set of irons costs roughly $500-$1000.

also the gameface character you make has a voice you can choose...just another new thing in 2006

plus, SO FAR, it doesnt appear to have all the damn bugs and glitches that 05 had...ie permanent bullring, impossible trophy balls, etc

Only thing that annoys is me is the announcers, they are annoying as hell, haha.

I have a question about the wind speed you guys are getting.

I was playing as an amateur and I noticed that the wind kept going up by 2-3 mph every game. By the time I played to October the windspeed got into the 30s. There wasn't even a single game where the wind dropped back down to a reasonable level. It just kept going up, up, up. Any of you guys experience this?

BTW the PC version does not have gamebreaker, the bets, voices, , purchased celebrations, in the zone bar (or whatever they call it), etc. The only thing different in the PC version from '05 to '06 are the golfers and courses. If you can choose, go console. The only thing good about the PC version is you can skip the celebrations with the 'Esc' key.

I just got this last week.
Putting is hard as crap. It is the hardest when the hole is UP from you or DOWN from you. I haven't learned how to compensate for that yet...
I'm playing tour mode and i didn't even make the cut at the Pebble Beach Championship. It is almost like real life aha.
and i swear sometimes i have the marker right on the hole and i hit the ball and it still comes up short in the rough.
