I'd watch it to see if they overtly try and hide the fact that this all goes down during a hurricane (OMF he said hurricane!!! ) like they did with their commercials. If they do that I won't watch past the pilot.

Ok so these aliens came out of the water from underneath a hurricane. Or smthg came out the water...a bright orange spray fire light thing...and killed the people in the reconnaisance plane. Its hitting near florida homestead fl or miami/dade county...but more rural.. I think aliens in these yellow lights are invading the city right now. This girl keeps looking for her cat Carlita. Seems to focus around this family. Mom, stepdad, dad, dad's new girl??, a girl, and 2 older boys/men. The dad went looking for the girl who is looking for the cat. He finds her as the "lights" are landing in the water...they drive to a safer place inside...but they're van flips. The only thing i don't like is that Hurricanes don't have lightning. You think they woulda done some research. Maybe in the outerbands but not the hurricane. Anyways now its a commercial. Enjoy the rest.

guy that wanted beer is either an older son or uncle or guy that was babysitting the two other kids (son and daughter) til the two parents came. The step dad is the Sherriff I think. The preggers is the dad's new wife or giirlfriend and seh's having his baby i guess. I think the mom has disappeared now. The whole point of the mom (from what i saw in the commercials) is that she is replaced by an alien on her way to find her daughter that was looking for Carlita the cat.

Indeed, they definitely kept me the most interesting. This show definitely wasn't up to par w/ Lost, but I'll keep watching for a lil while anyway.

I absolutely HATE whoever that actor is playing the sheriff...can't stand his face or something. I hope he dies (on the show lol) soon.

SOOO true. I hate this guy's face for some reason.

This show is interesting, but it's kinda flake. I mean, the biggest problem I have is the 2 kinds of aliens.

There are bad aliens, who live in the water and hurt people. And then there's "decent" aliens, like the cop, who don't live in the water and hurt people. I don't see how they work together.

And in the preview for next week there's infested monkeys. I'm sorry but that is a DIRECT RIP OFF of movies like 28 Days and Dawn of the Dead.

I don't think they are aliens. Didn't you guys listen to the sheriff talking about evolution? Also the lab tech talking about the blood being from something like a dolphin or whale? It seems like they are going to be some kind of aquatic lifeform thats trying to move to land. I mean they did come out of the ocean not from outerspace.

Who says there are 2 types of aliens?
I think the Sheriff is still a bad alien. He was nice enough to show Larkin the military site at Key Largo, however he didn't give her the whole deal.
And he was probably doing that to cover himself to make him look like a decent guy. When in reality, he knows he is a bad-ass alien and can snuff her out if need be later.

My question is:
Did the blood really get mixed up before giving it to the boy, or was it the mother's blood? We know she has been acting really weird lately (especially with water) so maybe her blood is screwed up anyway.

the dude playing sherrif doesnt bother me at all, hes played in tons of shit

but the mom is def. part alien now, it was her blood and she must be changing.

the sherrif has already been infected or what ever b/c he told her that the first few days

are always the hardest. cool show though

Did you not watch the first episode? They did not come from outerspace. When the plane flew into the eye of the hurricane, all the orange lights exploded up out of the water destroying the plane and getting absorded in the hurricane. Then when the hurricane reached land they rained down.

No the blood was not switched. She has too much hemoglobin in her blood a characteristic of a mammal that would live in the water.

so anyone else been watching this? I know, i know the sheriff sucks but he's one of "the bad guys" obviously so i don't think the audience is suposed to like him. But what about everything else going on? I don't really like the wife being a journalist...i guess it's cause i don't really like journalism and journalist but oh well, what can ya do.

I just want to watch it to see what happens. I'm not necessarily hooked or anything, but it's an alright show. Kinda weird how 2 or 3 alien shows all come out at the same season.
