I'm with Woodfoot. Between the story that's laid out in the trailer and the sheer impressiveness of dancing on skates, I think this could be a sleeper. That, or it'll be absolute trash. 9/22/2005 3:09:08 PM |

IMDB is full of moronic nerds.
It's at 59% on the Tomatometer (1% short of Fresh), and it got positive reviews from Gleiberman and Ebert. I'm going. 9/26/2005 3:36:51 PM |

do you think Ebert is getting soft in his old age? He gives good reviews to everything these days. including movies that are obviously shit. 9/26/2005 3:50:49 PM |

Eh, the only time I've been burned by an Ebert review recently was Van Helsing. 9/26/2005 3:54:54 PM |

did anybody see him rip into new guy last night
new guy was all like "i don't know why polanski would make a new oliver twist film, its a story that has been told many times" [/misquote]
and ebert was just like "well, maybe because he was orphaned after WWII

Well, the Van Helsing burn was pretty bad. He gave me the impression that it would be silly and fun like the Mummy flicks, but instead it was silly and stupid and not fun at all.
With that said, I don't read a shit-ton of reviews or go to a shit-ton of movies, so my chances of being burned are drastically reduced. 9/26/2005 4:24:11 PM |

Thought it was a great movie. Was nice to see some fresh faces in the movies. And all of them held their own. Good quality movie to enjoy
