I'm surprised nobody has mentioned this yet

Yesterday a 17-year old boy at Garinger High in Charlotte attacked an assistant principal and he was tased...the previous Friday, a 14 year old girl from East Meck threatened an administrator with her belt and was eventually tased...so I'm sure people should discuss if this is acceptable and stuff like that

if he had been tased when he was 8, he wouldn't have tried it again when he was 17

^^apparently she was cussing and repeatedly hitting an administrator...a school cop came to clear it up...she then pulled off her belt with a large metal buckle and threatened the officer

if teachers and administrations haven't had their hands tied in the discipline arena for the past 25 years, the sass talk would be severely limited

Using a taser to stop an assault is hardly "discipline"

I think most people would be against the use of tasers for discipline, i.e. you get sent to the principals office your ass gets tased, but thats not what it was used for here

I think the taser is meant to subdue/slow them down. For discipline, once a student physically assaults a staff member, they go to a reform school. At least in public schools.

The liason officer(cop) at my high school used pepper spray on groups all the time. If you saw a fight break out, you had to run the other way or risk getting sprayed just for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Dumbass cop eventually got the shit beat out of him.

What country normally has dead people floating down the same river many drink out of and bathe in?
I think it's the same one that has bovine piss drinkers.

taser the fuck out of the little bastards if they deserve it (and the kid in garner did)... if they want to be big shit and try to fight an adult, taze them, mace them...whatever, make the little fucks remember what happens when you have no respect and are an ignorant little bitch

I'm not sure if this is a example of adult stupidity or child stupidity.

I have a hard time believing an adult can get into an altercation with a 14 year old girl that requires a weapon to diffuse.

using a taser on anyone is kinda sketchy. if someone has heart problems, it could be lethal. not that other forms of subduing an assailant aren't dangerous in other ways. but using this stuff on kids is risky. they're lucky they haven't killed someone yet.

^^^ so if the girl starts hitting the administrator, what should the administrator do? if they use force to restrain the girl, then she'll probably end up getting hurt, and then you have a case that will probably get blown up into an administrator that beats up 14 year old girls. i think using a taser is fine as an alternative to forcibly restraining someone who's resisting, and if they have heart problems that cause complications, well it's still their fault for being a stupid shit in the first place and not being cooperative.

For a second there I thought you meant a real mace, but thats just my sick mind.

For the tazer, was it a handheld or one that shoots out prongs? The prong tazers are a bit too much for the schools. Although, some people in highschool that go nuts are usually the big retarded ones that failed a couple grades. In that case you have to use something a little stronger. That our a pipe to the back of the head.

if the administrator physically tries to subdue the student, thats opening up the arena for lawsuit

thats why the cop needs to come in

I like how some of the "No Child Left Behind" mentality people have no concept of the principle that not all kids are good

Maybe instead of tasering them we should just give them a stern lecture...that will surely keep them in line

If they are bad enough that you think they actually deserve to be tasered for discipline they shouldn't be in school anyway.
Do you really want people like that in school with your kids one day?

Expelled>tasered.

i agree they should be expelled

but expelling someone is something you do after the fact

what is the kid gonna do when, instead of tasering them, you say "you are going to be expelled"

is that verbal "threat" really going to subdue their current state of physical violence?
