selling me his 1968 Ford LTD?
2 door
pretty sure it's got the 302 V8, not the 390
looks like this, except in seafoam green w/ vinyl cover over the hardtop
I think it'd be a fun car to have, but it'd need some work (body wise, and interior, engine is fine), and I don't know of any shop around here that can do that sort of work reliably

^^i always found it to be a dumb thing to do as well. if you just wanted a chevy engine you shoulda bought a chevy in the first place. 9/27/2005 10:24:02 PM |

Yeah, I do. My dad does, too, but he's more concerned with his Magnum and being retired.
And I also agree with the Chevy engine in a Ford car. WTF is that? If I did anything to the engine (which I would not, seeing as how the engine runs flawlessly), I would see if I could find the 390 they used to put in them.
And to be honest I don't know what he'd charge me for it. He paid $2500 for it about 10 years ago. He's my dad, he doesn't drive it, and I think I could probably give him that and he'd be happy, even with the little bit of money he's put into it.9/27/2005 10:29:30 PM |

It's not like its a rare or desireable car, so that is a fair price. You could prolly buy one for about $2k-5k range 9/27/2005 11:03:29 PM |

may not be particularly desirable, but i can count on one hand the number of times i've seen one in person. hell, i'll even cut off two fingers.
rare is pretty accurate in the description of this car. 9/28/2005 12:15:12 AM |

I say go for it, I love 60's Fords. Seafoam Green w/black top is a pretty nice combo, especially if you wanted to do a mild custom look. 390 would be a good engine upgrade, though as plentiful as performance parts for the 302 are, you could just build up what's there already.
The only downside would be if you let it get in the way of your other financial obligations, and that's just responsibility/self-control. 9/28/2005 5:15:54 PM |

ahaha dude
I'm right on the verge of having almost no relative expenditures and way more income than I know what to do with
which is exactly why I'm thinking about leaning on my dad to buy it from him 9/28/2005 6:01:24 PM |
