I tried watching this show, on TWW's recommendation and while it wasn't a bad show, it wasn't anything too compelling for me either... but, i've never really liked the "detective/mystery" genre of stuff either.

I just became obsessed with this fairly obscure show. I sat on my couch and literally watched 20 episodes yesterday and didn't want to have to go to bed. My wife likes it too. It's a shame it didn't get the ratings because it really is quality stuff.

Really enjoyed seasons 1 & 2. Season 3 is ok, but definitely still worth watching. Just not as good as the first 2. Bummer this got canceled after only 3 seasons. It certainly doesn't hurt one bit that she is gorgeous, but I never watch anything just for the eye candy; the show itself is/was definitely pretty solid.

i just finished season 1 last night. omg that was intense.

i had like 3 episodes left in the season at 10pm and ended up staying awake to watch the finale. now i'm exhausted. blah. and the final episode of season 1 was REALLY intense. i got all nervous and then couldn't fall asleep haha

i really like the show though. i am not ashamed! i was minorly ashamed until i found this thread aka support group

I had watched several episodes in season one of Party Down back when it was on but stopped watching (I liked what I saw but just got busy/forgot about it). Anyway, after finishing Veronica Mars recently with the wife, we went and watched the first 3 episodes of Party Down S1 this weekend.

Definitely not as good as Veronica Mars but I forgot just how many people made appearances in that show from VM (and then the few tokens from Freaks and Geeks as well).

Party Down gets much better as you go along. The last half of season one was great.

I think season two was pretty good as well. I wish they could have kept it going, but I heard they couldn't afford to pay the actors more as they were being courted by other shows.

Even if everyone had come back the ratings were so bad on Party Down it almost certainly would have been cancelled anyways. Man I loved that show.

i wish it had ended of more with a bang too but i guess they were leaving it open for more seasons and then there weren't anymore seasons. so it sucks it just ended. boooo.

bring back veronica mars!

i really liked the series. season 3 definitely wasn't as strong but still enjoyable. i wish there was at least a 4th to wrap everything up instead of just developing a bunch of plot lines and then it ending. oh welllll.

yeah the 3rd season struggled with them being forced to try and mix up the show and have shorter story arcs since people complained the first 2 seasons were hard to follow (I didnt think so at all...I thought they were awesome) and they didn't want to get canceled. Still a good season but it doesn't touch the first two. Totally agree about the loose ends though.
