I'd be embarassed to link to anything on my site that sucked that hard

particularly anything that hasn't had an update in over a year

before I get knee deep into writing my own automation utility, do any of you linux kiddies know of any utilities similar to this, that are highly configurable?

feature wish list:

* cross compilation
* distributed compilation
* ... distributed cross compilation
* target NOT THE RUNNING SYSTEM this is NOT a wish, if a utility cannot target an ISO or non-running partition via chroot or otherwise it is fucking useless

c'mon tech talk, surprise me with something other than trolling and tangential trivialties

distcc isn't perfectly transparent, unless they have made vast improvements since my last implementation of it... it kind of broke any non-trivial compile I used it on... kind of the only sort of compile I needed it for

beats me, I've never used it. I do know that gentoo has specific installation instructions to get your entire linux install compiled using distcc. I figure that would count as a non-trivial compile.

now we're talking

although when I say non-trivial, I mean single package, such as glibc and the kernel which required patches to build correctly w/ distcc...
