...cuz I need the money, and I do quality work. Seriously, folks, if you need a job done on your rolling stock, give me a holler. My prices are reasonable too.

Just a short...you know how that one goes. Finding an electrical short is often like finding a needle in a haystack.

25 bucks an hour, 2-hour minimum. You buy all parts.

But first, you gotta give me more info...what kind of car, specifically what's it doing, etc.

I still might call on you about that door handle, if I ever get the little bastard painted. Can you recommend a paint shop that won't charge an arm and a leg for a small job? Hell, if you know "guy with a paint sprayer" who can manage to not make a 2" by 6" piece of metal look like total ass, that might work...

That happens to be me. I have a couple of paint guns, and I've painted a couple of cars.

You do know that the paint ain't cheap, right?

True, but I don't know if there's any way to get around that one. I was just hoping not to get screwed on labor.

$50 is strait if he gets the prob fixed.

if he doesnt, then he pays you $50.

that sounds fair

paint is cheap. autozone has tons of colors and a reference book. if you only need to cover a small area, you only need a little can.

do paint guns give better quality? paint is paint?

Depends on the strenuous nature of the job. Electrical troubleshooting is 90% time, 10% effort, unless you count some of the contortions you have to undergo to get under the dash at times.

Believe me, I take my time doing electrical. I can't bill as much.

Big or heavy mechanical jobs start at 30 bucks an hour.

91 mr2 turbo with a valve cover leak and a vacuum leak, also *eventually* needs struts/springs replaced assuming you have the compressor for the springs

we went over this before, let me know when you've got the time

Got an electrical gremlin on my beater Supra. Something keeps draining the battery. We did change the alternator and shit but we could use your expertise.

Nope. I've worked on NA Z32's and that's about it. Most of my Z car experience stems from the real ones...the ones with 6 cylinders INLINE.

But that doesn't mean I won't do it. I've done quite a few jobs first time very satisfactorily. In this case, there sure ain't a whole lot of room, though.

What can I say? He helped me out big time. He found a problem that I wouldn't have consider looking for. Now my blazer is running better than it was before it died. So if you need shit fixed give him a call.

He was more than fair and up front about everything. He even pointed out somethings that might need adjusting and fixed them as well. Instead of plowing through it and holding out his hand, he made sure everything was ok.

I need to replace a the left driveshaft and right front wheel bearing on a '96 Nissan Altima (standard - 5spd). I don't have a lift or even a garage. Any idea how much you'd want for that? The driveshaft might be a pain. I had the car up on jackstands this summer, but couldn't pry the axle out of the tranny; it is stuck in there pretty well.
