With a music scene full of dull and lifeless bands that all sound the same, the most popular question to ask a band now a days is… “What band does your band sound like?” Scarlet Undercover has found it tough to answer this question. Usually, they are dumbfounded by the question and have a hard time trying to find a suitable answer. The best explanation they’ve come up with is, if Guns n’ Roses and Def Leppard had children that grew up listening to modern rock and alternative bands; this is the band that they would form.
Scarlet Undercover started in a very small town in eastern North Carolina. SU consists of singer/guitarist Brandon Ham, lead guitarist Bryan Dawson, bassist Alex Nolette, and drummer Michael Arnette. The band might disagree on favorite bands or influences, but they do agree that their band has everything it takes to stay around for awhile.

There are not many people that will tell you their dream is living in a 1994 Dodge Ram van filled with musical equipment, driving hours upon hours everyday and seeing new faces and places every night. But Scarlet Undercover will tell you that there’s not an hour of the day that they don’t dream about it. After the release of Stop Drop Rock n’ Roll on Reed Records in February, the band has been playing every bar, club, hole, back porch, and basement in NC they can find. In July, the band got a chance to live their dream and perform their energetic, face kicking set on over 19 dates, on an east coast tour.

SU is now in the process of writing songs for a full length record. Expect powerful lyrics, wicked guitar solos, catchy choruses, and explosive drumming. Everything you have come to love about Scarlet Undercover will be there, but also expect some new surprises.
