honestly, though I voted Democrat (and am one), I don't feel like GWB is smart enough to be covert and corrupt like many people believe he is. I think he just leaves that up to his cabinet or whatnot

so he seems to just be like a normal guy, which in my opinion is a plus

I don't get the whole "i want a normal guy" to be President. Newsflash: "normal people" are generally retarded and are not fit to manage their household bills, much less a country.

I do agree, though, that Bush is close to a "normal guy", and that he is not smart enough to be a sneaky, corrupt leader. I think that he has some personal "values" that he wants to enforce and he will not listen to reason or rationality that get in the way of enforcing them. I also think he can be easily (and willfully) manipulated by much smarter people of the likes of Rove, Cheaney, and Rumsfeld.

lowering taxes is like 2 free months on a cell-phone contract. You're going to pay double in the end, and if you dont believe that, you'll pay triple for your stupidity.

Hitler was a man of moral clarity, if that's what you're in to.

and yet another thing that everyone says that baffles me.... Why does everyone think that Bush has "moral clarity", or "is such a good Christian"? What actions of his show that he is such a good damn christian? Going to war? Cutting taxes? Decreasing public services? Continuing to ignore environmental problems? Or is it just that Bush wants to teach abstinence and give lots of non-taxable money to "faith-based organizations", and that he says that "god wants him to be president" - is that what makes him such a hero?

I know this was apparently a big issue last year during the election, so answer me this: what exactly are the differences in Bush's and Kerry's actions and publicly known ideals that make Bush a stalwart of Christianity, and Kerry a heathen.
