Why am I getting STATIC when I listen to WKNC online?

Can't they just pipe it through the internet, instead of transmitting it and then picking it up from the web?

the one thing that bugs me about knc is i always hear this really high pitch (but faint) squeal in the background, as if there were constant interference in the signal. they should get that checked out.

Yeah, I'm getting the static this morning, WTF? I thought they *did* just pipe it directly to a computer before it goes out over the air. Maybe they've got some malfunctioning/misconfigured equipment.

i dont know whats up with the high pitch noise, someone called me when I was doing my show and told me about it and i thought he was retarded.........now I hear it.
