^^^DAVE: Absolutely; I've been eyeing that phone and it'll be THE mother of all phones when it comes out. Rumor has it that it could release as late as June 2007. That w850 is SICK. I'm definately gonna sell this phone and get the 850 when it comes out. I just hope it is 850 band compatible.

And BTW the firmware that flashes it to W800 capabilities seems a little shady right now. Some ppl reporting its actually messing up their phone but at least we know SE has great support and will continue to release firmware for their products.

that phone (the original Sony Ericsson in the first post) is one of the most popular phones here in Germany - I see them everywhere. At least some variant of it is popular - probably not the full spec 2MP campera, MP3 player, etc.
I used one, though, and while the functionality might be awesome, I did not like the layout and feel. The buttons were hard to diffirentiate and press, and the little stub-joystick was worthless.

ya'll don't be hatin on this phone, I have one too, and have had it since July. I'm still very impressed with it. It's pictures are good enough that I don't ever have to take my digital camera around and the mp3 player is great and with a capacity of 1gb, you can fit plenty of tunes and pics on it.

Anyways, enjoy your k750i wolfpuppy04...it's really a quality phone/camera/mp3player/fm radio/organizer/etc.

This phone is cool because it has good form factor AND is a very acceptable mp3 player. By very acceptable, I mean better then almost anything except an Iriver or Ipod. If you don't have an MP3 player but want one and you're going to buy a new phone anyway then you're much better off getting this one. Why? Because in Europe, phones aren't subsidized and getting a decent phone would already cost you around 300$. Why not spend an extra $150 or so and get a walkmen phone that plays MP3's, takes terrific pictures and movies, AND is small and very good looking?

Excoriator's line of thinking is exactly why this phone isn't being sold in the United States. Carriers hear don't see a market for such a device because of the cost when in reality it has a bigger market then any other phone (being an excellent mp3 player).

I also think the "20 min video is shit" argument is pretty stupid and shortsided. Not surprising considering who posted it. No idiot in their right mind is going to buy a phone with a 1.4 inch screen to watch videos. However, I WOULD buy this phone because it has flash and would be extremely adapt at taking last minute video on events that randomly happen. You know, when you're walking to class and the wolfline catches on fire? WAIT LET ME GO GET MY CAMERA FROM HOME.

i dont have a landline, this is my phone. and when i decided on which phone to get i wanted to get as much as i could for my money

-an organizer and contact list that syncs to outlook is immensly helpful
-mp3's are very handy and useful for studying
-having a camera (although mine is not as nice as the one in this thing) on you all the time is very convienient
-email on me all the time has saved me a few times, as has internet
