A Greek co-worker and I were discussing the recent so-called "shoot first" law in Florida and it reminded him of a movie he saw, he thinks in the late 80's.
He can barely remember anything about it, except that the premise was there was a law passed in a small US town where everyone could carry guns, or something like that. There was one police or sherrif that was outspoken against the idea. Predictably, everyone got several guns and people would be threatened with a gun if they bumped into someone on the street and stuff like that. He doesn't remember any other plot details, actors, how it ended, or anything.
Ring any bells? It certainly didn't with me... 10/7/2005 7:45:34 AM |

they did an episode kinda like that on Sliders once, except that everyone was a lawyer and you could get sued just for bumping into someone on the street. and actually one of them did and because they said sorry or excuse me it was like an admission of guilt so they were going to be arrested or something. weird but kind of a cool episode. not what you're looking for but thats what that description reminded me of 10/7/2005 3:25:18 PM |
