were they not able to see any codes or was it just undefined? generic scanners can only do so much. if it's a manufacturer specific code (usually not important) then find someone with a techII

ok took it by the dealer cause a friend works there and he scanned it and it came up code 171 lean. i guess thats why it stumbled. so i am guessing its a fuel filter, and ill start there. but all day since this morn its been running great.

the code has to be more specific than that

Quote :
"System Too Lean (Bank 1)

Basically this means that an oxygen sensor in bank 1 detected a lean condition (too much oxygen in the exhaust). On V6/V8/V10 engines, Bank 1 is the side of the engine that has cylinder #1."

could also be the maf

[Edited on October 14, 2005 at 12:26 AM. Reason : or the oxygen sensor itself.]

It's the FAG detection light. Comes on when a FAG plants his elephant-trunked asshole in the seat.

when you reset it, does it come right back on and stay on? i've had a few fluke codes pop up now and then like that. they never come back when you reset it. sometimes it can be something as simple as an air bubble in the fuel line
