Delhomme! I'm getting really irritated because I actually thought he might be a good prospect for my fantasy football team.

I'm just really tired of his inconsistant playing. He has become so f*-up prone that it makes me sick. The most recent example has to be this past Sunday against Detroit. Ok he throws a touchdown to Rod Gardner. Then our defense works ridiculously hard and gets the ball back. He then proceeds to throw a touchdown to Boss Bailey. The only problem is...Boss Bailey kind of plays for Detroit! GOOD JOB JAKE! Again, we recover the ball and he throws a touchdown to Steve Smith. Congratulations! Steve Smith is actually his team mate! Once again our defense kicks tail, and gets the ball back only to have Delhomme throw another touchdown pass to a player for the other team. At this point the score is tied at 14. Delhomme has thrown 4 touchdowns. Usually thats awesome the only problem is two to his team, two to the other team. He does absolutely nothing the entire second half. We are losing 20-14. Thank god on our last possession he got hurt and here to the rescue is Chris Weinke. When this happened I almost creamed my underwear as I firmly believe Weinke should have been playing this entire time. I just wish he would take over for good but I know thats not going happen. But Weinke takes us all the way down the field hasn't played in three years and wins the game for us. So basically I'm saying I've had enough of Delhomme's screw ups and would love to see a change.

Probably wasn't a good idea to draft Delhomme thinking he was going to be a good fantasy football starter. Dude is inconsistent as hell. Had great numbers last season because he just tossed it up to Muhammed all year. Offensive line isn't giving him a lot of time this year either.

i like weinke but you have to realize that its not about production and how many touchdown passes jake would throw. it's about how the offense is controlled. Jake has a far greater understanding of the offense than weinke. even though his numbers aren't that great he runs the offense better than weinke can.

Throwing touchdown passes as I SAID, is all well and good, but its NOT good when you're throwing 4 in a game, and half of them go to the other team. Out performance or not, is he going to have the screwups that Delhomme has? You just have to ask yourself...

2 reasons Delhomme has been so inconsistent this season

1. Muhammad was a possession reciever that we lack this season, we thought Colbert would fill in but he like Michael Clayton and Peppers before them have hit the Sophomore slump.

2. Lack of a power running game, we either abandon the run or can't get it going a lot has to do with Stephen Davis not being as young as he was and Foster not able to hold onto the football and being injury prone to the offensive line not being as dominant. This leads to more Delhomme throws which lead to more picks, he isn't Peyton Manning.

Proehl and Weinke probably work together on the 2nd team O which is why they seemed to be on the same page.

Delhomme was one of the best QB's in the league last year, and he LED the Panthers to a superbowl 2 years ago. He has struggled in a few games this year, but try not to be such a damn reactionary. He is a gambler out there, and occasionally it backfires on him. But he is one hell of a leader and has proven that he can win in the NFL.

if you dont remember, winki was the starter in, i think, the 1-15 season
that was the dreadful season that we all want to forget
although i gotta say he played pretty damn good last sunday
like he was in total control, he really didnt make one mistake in an extremely pressure filled situation
