I guess the death penalty is acceptable as long as you're executing elected officials and their staffs.

forgive me if i'm wrong, but didn't he say "they will be executed," insinuating that since execution is a typical form of punishment for treason, that's what will happen? I don't recall him saying, anywhere in that quote "i want them to be executed." Find where he said it. Go ahead.

I blame it on a week's worth of sleep depravation and a general cynicism towards the entire topic. Besides, if they didn't even execute Aaron Burr for an armed rebellion against the Federal Government then they sure as hell aren't going to execute any of those involved in the entire Plame case.
