that's what I paid for my '89 N/A 944 (it has ~40k more miles than that one)and N/A is fine for everyday driving - I don't plan on racing anyone, and the handling is still great. had more than enough power to make HW58 west of indepenence VA a blast last weekend.as long as that P.O. replaced the timing/balance belts recently that should be good to go[Edited on October 25, 2005 at 10:53 PM. A 944 should not have needed to be "restored" at 102k miles. That car doesn't look particularly clean to me. I wouldn't buy an 8 valve normally aspirated 944, but it's fine for what it is I suppose. Plenty of people enjoy them just fine. If you don't do your own work, and get unlucky with the car, you may end up spending a lot though they're generally pretty tough. Do NOT buy a neglected one that's fallingapart. There's some truth to "the most expensive Porsches are the cheap ones" in the used market.Ahmet

^^ and ^^^thank you for info

Nothing wrong with a 944 NA But being an 85 it could be an early or late version. If its an early version then that price is way too much. If its a late version with all the stuff he claims then its just a little high.

That is an early car as evidenced by the windshield mounting and the fender antenna.Ahmet

good call on the antenna - didn't see that at firstpass on this one - you can get a later year one for the same money if you keep looking and it will be worth your while.
