never done this before myself, but i imagine you'd want to do some additional configuration on the two routers as well (maybe setting a static route between the routers for instance), and sometimes low-budget routers will have a 'act as a router or gateway' option (in which case the router directly connected to the internet would be the 'gateway', and the other router would be a 'router', although the terms are usually synonymous). these are just possibilities, you might not have to do anything (i've never done this before).
also, some people might tell you to use a crossover cable, but because of how the pins on the WAN port are set on most low-budget routers, this shouldn't be necessary. 10/27/2005 11:28:02 AM |
