I have a 1.5 gig file that I need to get on another computer. I don't have a DVD burner, so I can't burn it. Since it can't be broken up, I can't email it. Most of the free hosting pages on a website have limits as well. Is there no way to transfer this file from one computer to the other without pulling out the hard drive? 10/28/2005 2:31:15 PM |

if they're on the same network, transfer it across the network (windows file sharing). or, set up a ftp server on the computer that has the file and log in to the ftp server from the other computer 10/28/2005 2:36:52 PM |

winzip/winrar/winace/etc, split into two 650mb archives, burn each to cd, copy both to other computer from cds, open first file and it will extract everything and you will have 1 1.5gb file on the 2nd computer. 10/28/2005 2:39:28 PM |
