The reviews that I have read of it say that it is FANTASTIC, and Johnathan Larson's parents definitely approved of it.

yeah, they cut the song where Mark and Roger are fighting about Roger leaving for the west coast and Mimi overhears it... "Goodbye Love" I think...

They also cut a few sections of other songs... Everything was tied together about as cohesively as you could ask for though...

the movie is great... still seeping in how great it was last night... BUT, having said that, it doesn't compare to when I saw it way back in the fuckin day...

by the way, if you got the soundtrack weeks ago, and noticed a few words being different (for example, "Gentlemen, our benefactor on this Christmas day, whose charity is only matched by talent I must say..." instead of "eve" and "believe"), you'll understand why they had to change it in the movie version... There's a few other parts (words) they had to change, but it was necessary for the big screen... You'll be like, "oh, ok... makes sense."

The movie was great. I thought Rosario Dawson did a good job. She has unique voice.

agreed. i thought the movie was really well done, but i don't think it really holds a candle to what you see on stage.

Saw it tonight, really liked it but I wish they hadn't cut out that one song! It'll be on the DVD though I'm sure...

yeah...they cut out too much (words here and there, plus that song)

i didn't like how turned a lot of the song lyrics from the show into spoken dialogue..it just seemed weird

I thought it was cool, I'm just glad they changed some of the words so that the spoken stuff didn't all rhyme hah....I also liked how they made "Take Me Or Leave" me into the party, it was hilarious.

definately well done
i was skeptical, but this movie was great. i thought they would lose some in the transition to film but instead i felt like they used it to their advantage to provide more character depth

i saw it in statesville and i dont think the family behind me was ready for the sex, drugs, and homosexuality
