I am trying to upgrade to iTunes version 6. When I install it, I get this error:

Quote :

"1: The InstallScript engine on this machine is older than the version required to run this setup. If available, please install the latest version of ISScript.msi, or contact your support personnel for further assistance."

and then when I hit "OK", I get this:

Quote :

"Error: -1603 Fatal error during installation. Consult Windows Installer Help (Msi.chm) or MSDN for more information."

Things I have done:

1. Searched Google high and low for fixes, none have worked.
2. Updated installshield to versions 6, 8, 11, etc... etc... (itunes installer is version 6.1.0.8)
3. Cleared out installshield directory
4. Slit my own wrists.

Please can someone find a solution for me. This is driving me insane. And please, enough with the "don't use itunes" trolling. I would like to solve this problem. Thanks.

Try making sure you have the latest MS installer

They come bundled for PC, so yes.
