I was curious as to if anyone had actually been over to see the actual area for the Cary dog park. At the suggestion of many from TWW I have been going over to Milbrook Exchange park and the area is great over there.... but I don't want to pay a fee in Cary (considering the gas I use to get to the other one it would actually save me money) unless it is as big and friendly as the park in Raleigh. 11/7/2005 7:09:47 AM |

Its over on maynard rd. I beleive right before chapel hill rd. Its already a pak with tennis courts and stuff and I guess they are just building the dog park behind all that. Its about a 15 minute or so drive from ncsu. If you live outside of Cary I have heard you may have to pay more. Anyone know when it will be finished though? 11/7/2005 9:35:28 AM |

http://www.townofcary.org/depts/prdept/parks/dogpark.htm apparently you can start going today. I do live in Cary... not too far from the location... but they say that it is only an acre and you have to go to town hall and pay $60 (if you have multiple dogs like i do). I don't know if an acre is really worth it. I think that Millbrook Exchange is bigger, and has trees and benches and what not. That's why i was asking if anyone had actually been over to see the area. I guess I will have to get a day pass or something and see if it is really worth it. 11/7/2005 9:46:26 AM |

There is a proposed dogpark that will take over the North Wake Landfill after the landfill closes. I dont know if that will be closer than either current dog park to ncsu. 11/7/2005 11:36:34 AM |

that's what I'm thinking... but the Cary park is suposedly right down the street from me... it would save a lot of time and gas to go there.... but it's kind of retarded that they want to charge that high of a fee and you are required to get Cary dog identification tags. seems like a pain in the ass.... but, I guess my dogs are worth it expecially since I'm probably going to start working two jobs soon. 11/7/2005 1:52:22 PM |

^ All dogs in Cary are required to have the tag whether or not they go to the park anyway. Stupid rule to generate revenue if you ask me.
