i seem to remember reading about a policy regarding graduating seniors. the polic says something along the lines of if you fail a class or go below the c wall you can basically replace that grade by taking an exam and getting up to a C in the class. is this policy in place or is my memory failing me? also if it is has anybody taken advantage of it and what is the typical procedure?


hopefully i wont need it anyway.

wolfeee, is reexamination typically approved, or is it just something that is out there that we get only if the professor involved feels like letting us use it?

It is not routine, or a given, but frequently approved. In most cases, if the student has made an effort, but did poorly and finds him/herselfin this situation, the prof. and department will consent. Cases that I have seen turned down were when a student barely came to class and did the work- and then needed a reexam because of the poor grade. Professors don't want to make up a new, comprehensive exam just because a student had a bad case of senioritis. PM if you have more questions.
