Anyone had this class before, or the teacher? I looked on the grade distributions and didnt find the teacher, but didnt go back very far. Some of the teachers had shitty grades, others were so-so. I'm just wondering how the class is in general.

If it is Janet Gray dont do it. I took her for ENG 112 a long time ago and nobody in the class made above a C on anything.

Definitely the only F (or anything even close for that matter) in my life

I wouldn't put her on my list of favorite teachers

fuck fuck fuck fuck...I registered for this class late because I totally rearranged my schedule. It was one of the only ones open, so I just signed up for it. I'm supposed to take MCATS next semester, so I was trying to get a humanities out of the way so I wouldnt have to put as much time into a Biochem453.

Does anyone know if other literature classes open up as the semester comes to an end? Or if not, is there one open right now that I can put medium effort into and still make an A or B? I'm not trying to spend a couple of hours a day reading and studying for this bitch if its not going to get me a grade...cause at this point thats all its about...at least in this class.

I just looked at her grade distributions. TERRIBLE

^ in the same situation, minus the MCAT but her grade distributions are pretty bad (all those who took her S/U FAILED, as far back as I can tell)

Someone explain what her tests are like....or papers...or both...if you dont mind. Sometimes I do better in these classes with shitty distributions. I think it just depends on the teaching style sometimes.

You read some crappy article. Then write a rough draft then after peer review and revision you turn in the paper. Just like any other english class I would guess. The difference is from what I remember she gets joy out of reading your paper over and over finding every little detail that she doesn't like. She is nice in class just a really tough grader from recollection.

well yeah...this isnt 101, its American Lit...101(or 112...same thing) is a writing class. From what I hear the tough teachers just give tests on the books you're supposed to read.
