Sorry i'm new to this, but my car has been sitting for a while, becuase it wasnt running and now that i got it fixed i noticed that my license plate stickers where due september 2005. How do i go about renewing this stickers. ALso, i noticed that my inspection stickers were due back in july. I know about getting cars inspected, but since its been so long, will i have to pay extra. The reason why i havent gotten it inspected yet, is becuase apart from my car not running until recently my signal lights have not been working properly, so i'm hoping they dont charge me extra for waiting to long.

The DMV has probably blocked your registration because your inspection is overdue. There is also a $250 fine for not getting your inspection done within 4 months of the expiration date. Your best bet is to gather up the money, get your car inspected, then head to South Hills Mall and pay all the fees.

he won't get fined if he tells them it wasn't running.

just go to dmv and renew your registration. you can't get it inspected until you have current registration. dmv shouldn't give you any hassle about it but if they do, tell them that it wasn't running. i recommend going to the main dmv office on new bern ave. at tarboro rd. they seem to be more willing to help since you showed initiative by going to the main office.

I realize it isnt the case here, but if it has been more than 4 months since your tags expired (the 15th of the month after your display month) then you will be required to get your vehicle inspected prior to being allowed to renew your tags.

if the tags are more than 4 months out, they WILL NOT renew them without you first having the car inspected. all inspection stations should be very familiar with this process, it has been going on for 3 or 4 years now.
