Isn't there a link on webmail.ncsu.edu that says something like:
"I can't delete anything because Im over quota - Is this you? Then click here"
Try following the directions there. Not being a jerk, I just don't have webmail now so I can't see what the instructions are. I remember the link though.
Nevermind. Found this:

Quote : | "Once over IMAP quota, Squirrelmail users will encounter difficulty in deleting messages from within Squirrelmail. Squirrelmail uses a Trash folder located on the users IMAP server and therefore can't move deleted messages into the Trash folder due to the lack of space.
To delete messages from Squirrelmail while over quota, users will have to temporarily disable using the trash folder by doing the following:
1. Once logged in, select "Options" at the top of the screen. 2. From the Options menu, select "Folder Preferences." 3. From the Folder Preferences screen, under the Special Folder Options, Trash Folder, select [Do not use Trash]. **NOTE** While this is selected this way, all messages deleted will be permanently deleted and not moved to a trash folder. 4. Scroll to the bottom of that window and click the Submit button to save your changes. 5. After submitting changes, click the Inbox link in your folders list and delete messages to return under quota.
Use this setting to delete messages to return below quota. Once under quota, follow steps above to reset the trash folder.
Please direct any questions or comments to 515-HELP (4357) or email to help@ncsu.edu." |

Last time I looked at WebMail for a user with this same issue, they no longer had that link.
Which totally threw her off because that's what I told her to look for. 11/9/2005 3:43:26 PM |
