I am a campus rep. just trying to get Microsoft OneNote introduced to NCSU. This program has helped me with my school work and it is free to try. I am a student just like everyone else so I figured that any little help with school is appreciated. Check into it.

There are also many prizes available from Microsoft, including:
** XBOX 360 **
** Toyota Prius **
** Tablet PC laptop **
** MP3 Player **

Furthermore, I know that it may be hard to win prizes from Microsoft considering it is nationwide, so we are also going to be giving away another XBOX 360 to a NCSU student that downloads the software.

1) Visit http://www.onenotecampus.com

2) Choose NCSU as your school

3) Instal Microsoft OneNote.

4) Open OneNote and activate it

You are now ready to use this free software to help make your studying easy and give you more free time for those other important college activities.

i think you missed a few sections

OneNote is a new software program from Microsoft that was designed specifically for students to help them organize their notes and other information better. It gives you one place to gather virtually any type of information—text, audio, video, lecture notes and handouts, web research, etc.—giving you quick access to all your notes. OneNote has a recording feature that allows you to record lectures or other things as you are typing, which will be synchronized together so that when you go to the playback, onenote will highlight exactly what you were typing as it was being said in the recording. OneNote’s powerful keyword search allows you to find the information you’re looking for immediately instead of spending precious time looking through mounds of notes. It enables you to mark and easily keep track of to-dos and important information, such as items to remember for an exam, and easily summarize them so that you can manage your tasks more efficiently and be better prepared (Plus leaving you more free time for those other important college activities). OneNote also allows you to easily share your notes with others, either by emailing them with a click of a button or by setting up real-time sharing sessions between up to 75 computers so you can take notes or do research papers together (provided you have an internet connection). You can also easily back up your notes so you’ll never have to worry about losing your notebook again.

^^ you are a TERRIBLE promoter. Besides the fact that you ignored the rules of this forum to begin with, use somewhat misleading thread titles, you sound like a computer sputtering and spitting out mindless jargon.

there is nothing groundbreaking with this software. Maybe a few features that save 2 mouse clicks. Other than that it sounds like a waste of time for students and note-taking. Anyone with decent organization on a computer can handle that already.

Anyone who takes notes on a computer and doesn't take the time to be organized will lose interest in this program anyways.

It is a waste of time and money

when this software implodes and takes my notes with it, who can I beat the hell out of? Microsoft stuff goes down more than a bus station hooker. I'll keep my stuff on paper.

seedless......Yes this program can be used for meeting and seminars or any other area that putting imformation in an organized place would be of use.

calledtoarms....The thread is not misleading because Microsoft does want to help NCSU students by allowing those students that would like to try a program for free that may help them, they now have that opportunity. There is more to the program that saving you from 2 mouse clicks. If you would try the free program you may actually enjoy it instead of making statements without even trying the software. Then if you do not like the program, unistal it and go register to win prizes.

ewstephe.....I use this program everyday and have had no complications. If for some reason you computer shuts down or whatever may happen, the notes are saved still because there is no saving, it is just automatically done and stored so that you will never lose anything. Try the program, you may like it.

protostar.....I copied and pasted my description of OneNote from the email that I sent out to various students and professors at NCSU.

Im not sure if "pad" is supposed to mean something. Classifieds could work, but Im not really selling anything (since this is free), so I didnt put it there first. Maybe I would give it a try though.
