Douche, wanna compare some numbers later? I'm double checking mine in a bit after I take a nap. I'm 100% position on few of the problems but on others I would feel better if we compared our numbers.

Yes that's right you use 0. For Avaliable-to-promise, weeks 2,5,8 you will have numbers there.

I think all of the blanks are supposed to be "0".... but that's just the way the book made it sound, I could be wrong....

them

as in

receipts, orders, etc.

you have to work backwards: figure out the receipts first, and you know the lead time is two weeks, so that same number goes two weeks back under planned orders (I THINK)

Question: on number 8 (but the fourth problem, i dont know why our numbers are messed up!) are the scheduled receipts all zero since we werent given any in the problem?

i'm pretty sure scheduled receipts are always given, and if not, they are zero

i just based my planned receipts off of my planned orders

you receipt the total when you receive it, based on the lead time

Tip: Go to class and listen and you will know how to do the homework. He tells you how to do them.

Tip: shut your mouth and don't respond to this thread if you don't have anything meaningful to contribute

I DO go to class and listen, but his examples aren't well explained and its hard to go back and look at teh notes and figure out how he got those numbers

back to the topic: i'm working on number 8 right now

on number 10, i know how to find the gross requirements for "C" but how do you find it for "E" and "F"?

ok, ill try to explain it the best I can: you need 3 E's to make B and you need 1 E to make C
SO, you look at the Planned Order Releases for B and C to determine the gross requirements for E

Example: for week 1 GR(1)=3(250)+1(600)=1350

1350 is your GR for week one Item E
