Okay, I already searched and found this tread http://www.thewolfweb.com/message_topic.aspx?topic=306527 But its too old to post in again...
Basically I had the same problem but now I don't know how to change it back to use "Defult User"... By the way I am on a regular computer unlike the person in that thread. I also already ended the process like it said to. Please help me, I want my bookmarks back!

Search your hard disk for bookmarks.html
Import that file when you find the one with all of your bookmarks. 11/20/2005 7:13:25 PM |

Just open the Task Manager and manually kill mozilla.exe or firefox.exe
And even if you create a new profile, the old profile is never lost. It's still in Documents and Settings/username/Application Data/Mozilla/Firefox/Profiles/xxxx Those profile folders hold all your extensions, settings, themes, bookmarks, etc" |
did you try this?
task manager, kill mozilla.exe
restart mozilla11/20/2005 7:36:16 PM |

press control+alt+delete, this should open the task manager. if it doesn't post what it does do. then go to the processes tab. find mozilla.exe or firefox.exe and press the end process button at the bottom of the window 11/20/2005 9:43:04 PM |

Close all firefox processes. Goto: Start, Run, firefox.exe -p. This should open the profile manager, and you can switch back to the normal default user profile. If the -p doesn't work, try it with a /p. 11/21/2005 1:56:09 AM |
