i was in a tiny fender bender and clipped the corner of the back bumper on this lady's camry...she was really nice and told me to find a place and that we'd both go there and get a quote, so i thought i'd check with y'all...it didn't look deep, so i figured it could probably be buffed and repainted instead of having to be replaced (or do they use filler on plastic bumpers?)
the search engine on tdub sucks, and i wasn't about to go looking around for a similar thread (though i'm sure it's been posted a dozen or more times)...so thanks for y'all's help 11/30/2005 1:00:15 PM |

Others may disagree, but I am gonna say AVOID Kenny Hawkins, they recently botched the repair and the follow up "buffing" on my gf's car. 11/30/2005 5:05:12 PM |

pics? if the paint isnt damaged badly, and it's limited to one body panel or bumper i could do it for a few $$ if it needs paint, not worth my time for filling sanding, priming, etc 11/30/2005 7:05:39 PM |

i will see what i can do about pics...it's not my friend's car that needs it, it's the lady he scraped and i'm actually going on his word as to what needs to be done...she's some older korean person and she probably wouldn't be too comfortable with someone other than a body shop doing the work
though don't get me wrong, my entire driving career i've been taking my car to a mechanic who works out of his garage and a body shop guy who used to do it at home...best work EVER on both accounts 11/30/2005 7:24:00 PM |

like i said, it's not my car that needs the work (so i can't simply go outside and take pictures)...it's the lady's car and i haven't even found out where she works since it just happened yesterday...i might call her today and see if i can take pictures 12/1/2005 12:05:08 PM |
