Do the home kits really work when they are indoor, or is there much interference?

my "home" kit was just an antenna with a long cord that was weatherproof. put it outside and run it in. worked alright when in the window (assuming it is facing the right way).

They're designed to work indoor/outdoor, but if indoor, as indicated above, they should be in plain sight of the sky. (i.e. on the window sill). Otherwise, it can be hung outside the window.

At Best Buy, they had an XM that worked indoors.

These antennas will work inside, but they must be near a window. To my knowledge, there is NO antenna, either XM or Sirius, that will work without a "line of sight" so to speak.

thanks all......the main reason i want the home kit is so that I can listen to the talk/sports radio side of it while at home (i.e. the panthers and hurricanes games), so I wasn't too sure how that would work considering i'm on the second floor of an apartment.

Hell as stated, both XM and Sirius have most of their channels listed online. XM has free net access to almost all of their music channels for subscribers, however I know the sports channels are excluded and some of the news radio stations.
