That's the number of Car Care Bowl tickets that NCSU must sell through the ticket office to beat the UNC turnout last year. Something else to talk shit to hole fans about.

Quote :
"Meineke officials had Clemson and NCSU at the top of their wish list, knowing either school could help fill the 73,400 seats in Bank of America Stadium and give the bowl a third sellout in four years. Virginia sold 30,000 tickets through the school's ticket office in 2003, and North Carolina sold about 30,400 last year for its game against BC, which was representing the Big East before joining the ACC.

^I agree that we should send as many fans as possible

I don't agree that we should try to compete with UNC, a team that considered a loss in the Tire Bowl a real accomplishment, with fan support.

We have to purchase through the ticket office to get "credit" for Pack fan attendance.

According to gopack.com...
State students will be able to purchase upper level seats at a discount beginning Monday morning
on the gopack.com site. NC State faculty members will also be able to receive a discount.

Tickets are available through NC State's athletic ticket office. Upper level seats are $30 and are available for all patrons, lower level sweats are $55 for Wolfpack Club members ranked 751-7000 and club level seats are $75 for members ranked 1-750.

Tickets will be available online starting tonight, or by phone or walkup during business hours tomorrow and NC State fans are urged to purchase through the Wolfpack ticket office. The ticket office also strongly recommends that Wolfpack Club members and general public purchasers order online due to extremely high call volume. The ticket office numbers are 919-865-1510 or 1-800-310-PACK.

The priority deadline to order tickets is Dec 15th. All tickets will be available by will-call only, so stay posted on the website for dates and times.

That'd be nice, but I know with most bowls bowls I've been to in the past, they reserve a lot of the best seats for corporate sponsors.

most of that is for Big WPC donors and USF donors.... Sponsors (Meineke will probably get like 10,000), Local Buisness CEO's, etc.etc.

The panther's stadium is actually really small. It only seats like 75,000 IIRC.

State should bring at least 40,000 IMO

I wonder how many of those people weren't actually fans so much of UNC, but wanted to go because of the fact that UNC was playing BC and they could get tickets through UNC.

Bank of America Stadium seats 73,298. That's fairly large for today's pro stadiums. There are only 6 NFL stadiums that are larger. They include:

Pro Player Stadium - 75,000
Ralph Wilson Stadium - 75,339
Invesco Field at Mile High - 76,125
Arrowhead Stadium - 79,409
Giants Stadium - 79,469
FedEx Field - 91,665

I love that stadium. It's beautiful and usually regarded as one of the top stadiums in the NFL. I was fortunate to have to drive by it everyday on the way to high school.

For the 6,100 sold through the WPC, I'd imagine there's another 8,000 sold through ticketmaster.

Some people were buying them Friday when they found out Sunday when they found out.... they didn't wait for the WPC to open.

"N.C. State has sold approximately 13,500 tickets for the Meineke Car Care Bowl since the Wolfpack's Dec. 31 matchup against Big East foe South Florida was announced last week, State officials said Monday.
NCSU assistant athletics director Dick Christy said it was still early to offer an estimate on how many total tickets may be sold for the Charlotte bowl but noted that ticket orders show no sign of slowing down.

State (6-5) already has exceeded the 12,500-ticket requirement set by the bowl. South Florida (6-5), which is playing in its first bowl ever, has sold about

^^where did it say that anyone has sold out?

It said we have sold 13,500 and were required to sell 12,500. We have more to sell. Our priority deadline is friday. I believe this just means that if you want your wolfpack club status to get you a good seat, then buy your tickets by then. But idk if they will sell any remaining lower bowl / club level seats to anyone after friday.

It said USF has sold about 5,000. Some of those were to state fans that wanted lower bowl seats.
