I have a 97 Wrangler with 31 10.50's and I think my wheels are 8 offset. I have one really worn down tire, and was thinking of just upgrading them all to 32 11.50's. I have just a few questions:
1. Will they fit stock with minimul rubbing? 2. Will they fit better with a body lift? If so, how much body lift? 3. How will it look with/without a body lift? 4. How will they affect the turning radius? 5. Anybody have any pics of jeeps with 32 11.50 with/without a body lift (please specify)? 6. Any body want to buy a set of 31 10.50's (3 used 1 new spare)? 12/5/2005 7:08:36 PM |

i know u are bigg and badd and all but why the fuck would you bother going from a 31'' tire to a 32'' tire? i mean seriously stop beign a cheap fuck and get a lift and then do atleast 33's. 12/5/2005 7:11:53 PM |

body lifts are gay (i mean, maybe an inch or two if you still need it after a susp lift, but that's it. prob only an inch on a jeep so there isn't a gap under the grill around the rear fenders)
and i think 32s will be too much tire for functionality even if they fit, which i doubt
at least without a sawzall
and yeah, nobody uses 32s. throw some 31s on there stock (or with a 1" shackle lift or something), or actually lift it and go with 33s or 35s.
this kinda has poser jeep written all over it

man yall its chrismus. be nice to the man, he probly just wants to be able to navigate the busy parking lots this time of year. That extra 1/3 of an inch of ground clearance he will gain might be the difference between parking 1/2 a mile from the mall entrance and 1 mile from the mall entrance. 12/5/2005 7:22:58 PM |

you could go to a local tire shop and see if one fits. i bet they would mount one up in hopes of selling you a set of tires... just a thought 12/5/2005 7:24:48 PM |

Damn, i mean I guess I should have known better than to ask a serious quesion about something on here.
Ok, I agree body lifts are kind of gay, but I am about to buy a new car and therefore do not have the money to put a "real" lift on it just yet. I'm sorry that some people have real jobs and make their own money instead of living off of mommy's money and school loans.
So, if anybody has some real input, it would be greatly appreciated. 12/5/2005 7:27:29 PM |

dude a body lift is 100 bucks. going from 31's to 32's is about as gay as a body lift. so the combination should work welll. ask a pussy question and you get a bitch answer.

do you want people to give you real input, or do you want people to tell you what you want to hear?
because you've gotten the real input
if you just want someone to tell you what you wanna hear, just say so, and we'll all tell you what a great idea it is.
plenty of people do shit the right way (or not at all) without mommy and daddy's money12/5/2005 7:31:40 PM |

get a budget boost then, and depending on what backspacing you're running you will rub.
you can adjust your steering stops and that'll stop the rubbing, but decrease turning radius.
i think there's a tj on campus that has 32x11.50 mt/rs on it and it appears to have no lift, but i'm not totally sure.
is there a specific reason you want 32s? or just for looks or what? it might not be worth it.
[Edited on December 5, 2005 at 7:36 PM. Reason : or just throw the 32s on and see what hits and fix it] 12/5/2005 7:36:27 PM |

guess what chump, I know stone doesnt live off mommys money, duke doesnt, I dont. Matter of fact, I graduated with duke. He has a job, I have a job. I have seen pics of stones work, I would trust his opinion, I have seen dukes work, I would trust his opinion, I have been working on real 4WDs an awfully long time, so I have some confidence in my opinion. So why dont you save your "hard earned money" and put some 31s on there since you are selling it anyway, and spend the hundred bucks you would waste on the body lift on a fart pipe for your next car? 12/5/2005 7:38:33 PM |

If you are trying to save money then just put the spare out there and get one used tire for the spare. Seriously, if you are going to do anything wait until you have the cash and do it right.
Also, why hate on people and where they get their money from? No need to be jealous. Plenty of people in the garage are beyond school and mommy. Its asinine for you to assume is someone here has something nice its immediately because of mommy. Everyone has their priorities in life.12/5/2005 11:18:56 PM |

check out rubicon express...or if you really wanna do it right for a decent price...look into an Old Man Emu 2.5" HD kit....going for 639 roughly on Ebay, i think one or two places had either free or at least reasonable shipping....
basically if you do invest in doing it "the right way," you are not going to jepordize the lifespan of your vehicle or more importantly the parts in which you are putting stress on by taking short cuts....but then again thats just my opinion..although many people will agree thats getting down to the bottome line of things...12/6/2005 3:42:00 AM |

There are no fender laws in NC, iffen you haven't had to trim your hood you have too much lift. 12/6/2005 7:14:52 AM |

wtf man. 639 a decent price? OME is overpriced crap. what does a spring spacer lift go for? i think thatd be the best option.

89.95 2" budget boost w/o shocks.
cheaper and easier than a body lift.

what i was saying is if you wanted to invest in an actual suspension system...not a budget boost or a spring spacer mod....that OME is actually alot cheaper than say a Skyjacker, Fabtech, Rubicon Express 2-3" lift....
i guess it comes down to the application and practicality of how often/hard he's gonna be running his jeep.... 12/6/2005 8:35:49 AM |

Try http://www.performanceoffroadcenter.com/ for a spacer kit. BBR and I put on one of their house brand kits with that came with shocks.
A spacer kit is even easier to put on then a BL and everyone knows the next logical step up is tons and coilovers. 12/6/2005 8:53:59 AM |
