Wouldnt start after it warmed up...come to find out it was a bad alternator, fuel pump relay runs through it. I would have never found that. Cost me $300 parts, diag, labor.

haha, you have officially been introduced to the wacky wiring of isuzu. there's weirder things that are related if you check out a wiring diagram, lol. luckily the wiring is generally trouble free, it can just make for some interesting trouble shooting sometimes as you've found.

Yeah crazy wiring. Ive not been real impressed with them so far. The bill has mysteriously turned into $420.....I told them to do a "pre purchase inspection" They didnt catch to loose driver side wheel bearing but did catch the leaking hyd cyl for the clutch. Dunno what to think. I have never had to take any car I owned to a shop for anything other than alignments and tires. We will see tommorow when I go to pick it up...perhaps I missed something else in the bill. Ivan we need to catch up sometime and have you check this thing out.

yeah, shoulda dropped it by my shop before taking it to them, i woulda been happy to take a look at it. i can't speak for their billing practices, all i know is they really know their stuff when it comes to zu's. just lemme know if you ever need anything done on it. or if you need parts, i've got them out the ass.

I bought the iscrewu to replace the Tahoe. Wanted a cheap 4dr 4wd SUV. I really wanted to get into a Dscovery but did alot of research and figured I better pass for now.(too quirky) Asked around and heard alot of good things about first gen Troopers. Talked to Ivan and he sugested the 4 cyl/5 speed. Started looking around and found this one in Richmond for $1000 107,000 miles original owner, bought it from a wholesaler. Its fun to drive I havnt had a man trans vehicle in a while, the 4dr thing is great with the dog. Just figured I would down size the fleet. Hoping to get at least a year or 2 of trouble free daily driving out of it. Last weekend installed timing belt, water pump, oil pump, belts, rad hoses, plugs, cap, rotor, wires, crank seal, cam seal, full exhaust system and did a valve adjustment. Still wouldnt start after it warmed up. Im import illerate so bit the bullet and dropped it off @ Creech Monday night.
